Entry qualification | Undergraduate diploma (or higher) You may apply if you have a BSc or MSc degree in molecular biology, bioinformatics, computer science, bionics or related fields. In addition, a basic knowledge of the sequence, structure and function of biomolecules is also required. If you hold a BSc degree different from the ones listed above, you may also apply and the Admissions Committee will assess your eligibility as part of the admissions procedure. Please upload both your BSc degree and your transcript of records. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Hungarian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Application documents must be uploaded to DreamApply in electronic format. Original copies (and their certified translations in hard copy, if any) will only be required for online enrollment, following a successful admissions procedure. |

1. PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Join our Online Open Day to find out more about the program and put your questions to the heads of program.
Date: 16 August 2024, 3 pm CET
Registration link: forms.office.com/e/EzCEn7gj35
The program is run fully online.
The vast amount of genomic, transcriptomic and proteomic data from the study of different tissues and, increasingly, individual cells requires the training of professionals who are skilled in many aspects of high-throughput data analysis.
The aim of the program is to train and prepare professionals with expertise in all aspects of biomolecular data management and interpretation to meet the needs of academia and industry.
The program is run by Pázmány University’s Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics (Hungary) and HiDucator Ltd, a Finland-based company specialized to deliver online courses in the fields of bioinformatics, biodata analysis, and biostatistics.
The training will emphasize analysis in the R environment but will also include Python and Java skills.
The key focus areas of the program are:
- biostatistics
- sequence analysis
- structural bioinformatics
- high-throughput genomics
- transcriptomics
- phylogenetics
2. ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE
After the submission of applications, the Admissions Committee will review the submitted documents, with particular focus on the entry qualifications documents.
Eligible applicants wil be invited to an oral interview.
In some cases, the Admissions Committee reserves the right admit applicants based on their entry qualifications.
